Ifeile Investments Enters Exclusive Talks to Become Promoter of $1Billion Nigerian Rugby Federation Sports City

Luxembourg / London, United Kingdom — 7 August 2026 — Ifeile Investments today announced that it has entered into exclusive discussions with the Nigerian Rugby Federation (NRFF) regarding the appointment of Ifeile as the promoter and strategic development partner for a proposed $1 billion Sports City in Ogun State, Nigeria.

The landmark project is intended to establish a major sports, entertainment and commercial destination in Ogun State, anchored by a new multi-use stadium and the future headquarters of the Nigerian Rugby Federation.

The proposed Sports City is expected to incorporate a range of sporting, commercial and hospitality facilities designed to create a nationally significant destination for rugby and other major sporting, entertainment and business events.

At the heart of the development will be a new multi-use stadium, designed to provide a modern venue capable of hosting international rugby, football and other sporting events, together with concerts, conferences and major cultural and entertainment programmes.

The development will also provide a permanent headquarters for the Nigerian Rugby Federation, creating a dedicated base for the administration, development and promotion of rugby in Nigeria.

Subject to the conclusion of definitive agreements and the completion of the necessary approvals, Ifeile’s proposed role as promoter would include supporting the project through its capital-raising, investment, development and commercialisation phases, working alongside the NRFF and relevant public-sector stakeholders.

The Sports City is envisaged as substantially more than a stadium project. It is intended to create an integrated sports and economic development destination, bringing together elite sporting facilities, training and performance infrastructure, hospitality, commercial activity, events and other complementary uses.

The project is expected to generate significant economic activity and employment during both its construction and operational phases, while providing a platform for the long-term development of rugby and other sports in Nigeria.

The project is currently subject to ongoing discussions, due diligence, feasibility work, regulatory and governmental approvals and the negotiation and execution of definitive agreements. No final appointment of Ifeile as promoter has yet been made.

The parties expect the next phase of discussions to focus on the project’s development framework, capital structure, governance arrangements, commercial strategy and implementation programme.
